Göran Ahrne is professor of sociology. He is also associated with SCORE (Stockholm Centre for Organizational Research).
My current research is about how to explain social processes and human agency by investigating different organizational principles and elements as well as differences between organized social relations and relations that are not organized, as, for instance, friendship. At present I am involved in two empirical projects. One deals with organizations that have other organizations as members (meta-organizations) and the other is about the preconditions and limitations of friendship.
